Last night Wednesday 10th July was a wonderful evening of celebration. It was a delight to invite a past pupil Mr Boris Amin to speak to our current pupils and their families.
Boris spoke directly to the children, sharing his own experience of his time at Newman. He spoke of being 'Bold' and not being afraid to dream of great things. He encouraged the children to be thankful for what they have, their teachers and families who support them on their journey. A wonderful speech from someone who was keen to come back and share his experience since leaving school.
The evening consisted of subject achievement and progress awards. attendance awards for those pupils who have been in school every day, celebrating those who have had success individually or through team sports, special awards for pupils in each year who have put our Newman Values into action throughout the year.
